SIGN UP TODAY!
Mythic Bridge's 2-day "Guerilla" weekend workshop will explore group problem solving through creative storytelling. Teams of four (16 total participants) will each create a 2 to 3min short film. The first day begins with a large social icebreaker, followed by group activities; then groups shuffle. This inter-mixing of personalities continues until (4) four groups of (4) four have formed. They will then be introduced to Bridge's ideas of strategic concept thinking. We break for lunch. After discussing their ideas over lunch, the participants return and finalize their concepts for the stories they will create. As a group, we select the best themes from this list of ideas. With the assistance of a mentor, groups will then come up with an idea for a story, develop a detailed outline (complete with characters/ subjects), and then further develop those ideas into story-boards and then into a 2 to 3 page script. We end the first day with a discussion about creative collaboration, cooperation, and what are "realistic" and "achievable" expectations for the weekend.
The second morning begins with a unifying warm-up. The groups reconvene to discuss their final project ideas with their mentor and begin delegating who is going to do what. The rest of the morning is dedicated to production. After lunch, the groups reevaluate their progress and rework problematic areas. The evening is dedicated to post-production. The night concludes with a festive gathering, hor' dourves, friends and family, and screenings of the participant's projects.
